Pilgrimage of Faith; Kingdom Journey

Monday will mark the beginning of the halfway point for this year.  The only time I ever remember time flying by so fast was when I was raising a child.  Every minute, every day, every week, every month, every year was carefully monitored and measured according to required schedules in raising a child.  I was so aware of time.  Once the baton of schedule keeping was passed to my grown child, I felt a freedom.  I embraced my liberation from the restriction of time.  I flowed through my single life as if time did not exist.  I was no longer in bondage to time.  Although it still captivates me.

Until recently, I have to admit that I have taken full advantage of my freedom; completely oblivious to deadlines, schedules, setting goals.  But, the time has come to put my passivity up on a self for a season and take down the jar filled with goal setting, hustle and stepping out of my comfort zone.

My spirit has been nudging me to take a leap of faith and become a missionary for some time.  I made the first step of commitment by applying for a six month training school in Kona, Hawaii.  I have been accepted and now the work begins;  work on my heart, work on my courage, work on my perseverance, work on my discipline ~ yikes.  I am truly being stretched in all these areas.  I have to raise several thousand dollars before January 4, 2014 and it has been an effort that is finally picking up momentum.

It is amazing how small gifts yield great rewards like being blessed with the use of a keyboard so I could create a news letter from my iPad.  A seemingly small provision has sponed fruitful productivity.  This new season of my life will cultivate an even greater harvest in 2014.  I am being called to participate in a training school called a DTS (Discipleship Training School).  This is a training school that trains and sends out waves of willing people to serve many nations.  The final two months of DTS are spend in the mission field.  We are sent out in teams to a part of the world that is in need of our assistance.

I will write updates as the days, weeks, and months unfold.  I long for you to come along on my life changing journey!
